Topical Corticosteroid-Induced Iatrogenic Cushing Syndrome in an Adolescent: A Case Report

چکیده

Cushing syndrome (CS) is an endocrinological disorder characterized by increased blood cortisol level. It either due to excessive endogenous release of steroids (e.g., pituitary adenoma or adrenal hyperplasia) exogenous administration steroids. Iatrogenic the most common form syndrome. The vast majority cases are oral parenteral steroid preparations, which commonly prescribed for pulmonary, renal, hematological autoimmune diseases. Prolonged use topical corticosteroids, particularly in children, may cause and suppression hypothalamo-pituitory-adrenal (HPA) axis, less than that route. CS overuse corticosteroids rarely reported. There only few reported young children having secondary misuse corticosteroids.
